NFL Player Props Week 17 No House Advantage: D.J. Chark and Drake London

January 01, 2023 | 5:30 AM by Mike Barner

NFL Week 17 has the potential to be a bit chaotic as teams battle for playoff spots, while others might rest some key players in preparation for bigger Week 18 games. With that in mind, let’s dig into the options on No House Advantage. There are two types of contests to play: “Pick ‘Em” and “Vs. The House.” Let’s try to narrow down the field by highlighting some of the best NFL player props to target. Also, check out our NFL Player Props Tool to help you make all of your selections.

NFL Player Props for Week 17: No House Advantage

Isaiah Hodgins, NYG vs. IND: Over 3.5 Receptions

If the New York Giants win this game, they make the NFC playoffs. That means they will deploy their players as usual. It’s a great matchup for them, given that the Indianapolis Colts are going nowhere fast and have turned to their third starting quarterback of the season, Nick Foles. While the Colts offense is the weakness of their team, their defense hasn’t been great, either, allowing an average of 23.8 points per game.

Hodgins has emerged as one of the top wide receivers for the Giants and had a season-high 12 targets against the Minnesota Vikings last week, which he turned into eight catches for 89 yards and one touchdown. He has caught at least four es in three straight games and had at least six targets in three of them. Expect him to remain in a prominent -catching role.

D.J. Chark, DET vs. CHI: Over 46.5 Receiving Yards

The Detroit Lions are also alive in the NFC playoff hunt, despite a disappointing loss to the Carolina Panthers last week. The Lions offense has been one of the main reasons for their late-season surge. Going 6-2 over their last eight games, they scored at least 31 points four times.

After an injury forced Chark to miss Weeks 4 through 10, the wide receiver has returned to provide key for top receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown. Chark has been targeted at least five times in four of the past five games, which helped him reach at least 94 receiving yards three times. Chark is averaging 17.3 yards per reception this season, so in a game when the Lions could score plenty of points against the Chicago Bears’ lackluster defense, Chark could blow past this over.

Drake London, ATL vs. ARI: Over 4.5 Receptions

The Atlanta Falcons have a lot of work to do on offense. They are lacking weapons in the ing game, especially with tight end Kyle Pitts (knee) out for the season. Other than wide receiver London, their top receivers are Olamide Zaccheaus and Damiere Byrd. That’s not a group to set up rookie quarterback Desmond Ridder for success.

The Falcons have been looking to London early and often, giving him 32 targets over the past three games. That resulted in three straight games with at least six receptions. The Arizona Cardinals are tied for the eighth most receptions allowed to wide receivers in the NFL, setting up London for another potentially busy day.

Davis Mills, HOU vs. JAX: Under 205.5 ing Yards

This would seem to be a good matchup for quarterback Mills and the Houston Texans, considering that the Jacksonville Jaguars have allowed the fourth most ing yards per game in the NFL. However, they limited Mills to 140 ing yards in Week 5. Mills has struggled, in general, throwing for fewer than 200 yards in six of his past seven games.

Part of the reason for the poor production is that he is missing one of his top wide receivers, Nico Collins (foot). Brandin Cooks returned from a three-game absence last week, but Mills still only threw for 178 yards. It’s difficult to have much faith in him turning things around this late in the season.
