The Packers are 14-point favorites at home, and for good reason. The Saints are utterly depleted, with Derek Carr, Chris Olave, Alvin Kamara and Rashid Shaheed all sidelined. Even Bub Means is on IR. They’re eliminated from playoff contention, and their season feels all but over.
Meanwhile, the Packers can clinch a postseason berth with a win tonight. They’re in prime position, playing at Lambeau in cold, potentially freezing rain conditions. The Saints are a dome team and have to contend with one of the league’s more opportunistic secondaries and a Packers run game that’s found its rhythm.
I grabbed Packers -13.5 earlier in the week, but even at -14, I’m sticking with them. This isn’t a game where I typically love backing a big favorite, but I just can’t find a path for the Saints to keep this close. Could the weirdness of football surprise us? Sure. But for me, it’s Packers -14 or .
