It’s hard to up this NRFI bet today when you see two of the bottom 4 teams in no run first innings in all of baseball matched up against each other.
Tonight, we have a matchup of the 29th-ranked first-inning-scoring Chicago White Sox and the 27th-ranked first-inning-scoring Pittsburgh Pirates.
But not only that, we have the White Sox with their incredible lefty ace Garrett Crochet on the mound, who is 18-1 on NRFI bets this season.
What’s more is that he’s cashed 14 straight no run first inning picks for us, so this man is an absolute KILLER in the first inning.

Now, Gonzales isn’t the strikeout machine that Crochet is, as he’s rocking a career strikeout rate under 20%. But as we know, teams that like to swing and miss can give you that strikeout bump in any one-off matchup. So he could get an added strikeout or two in the first if he gets in a pickle, which is always a nice out to have.
