After his blast on Sunday, Outman now has seven home runs on the season. It is the most home runs ever hit by a Dodgers rookie in the first month of the season.
No home run was bigger than the bomb Outman hit on Thursday night at Wrigley Field. With the Dodgers and Cubs knotted up at two in the ninth inning, Outman hit a go-ahead grand slam that would end up holding up as the game-winner.
“He just keeps getting better, which is scary,” Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said, per Dodgers Nation. “For a young player to want to be in that spot, that says a lot about him. This is a pretty fun and crazy environment, but to handle himself like he did and have that big hit and homer earlier — it’s going to be fun to watch his growth.”
