Now that the U.S. Open men’s draw has been released, it’s a great time to check on the updated U.S. Open odds to see if there’s been any kind of notable movement.
As expected, it’s Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz that continue to headline the men’s draw. They’re very clearly the two best players in tennis at the moment, and they have produced some breathtaking matches against one another already this year. Djokovic had the last laugh in the most recent head-to-head meeting, but Alcaraz is a special talent and will be hungry to defend his U.S. Open title in New York.
With the draw now released, let’s check on how the tennis odds are shaping up leading into the major.
U.S. Open Odds Update: Djokovic/Alcaraz Show Continues

When we last looked at the tennis odds for the U.S. Open back in July, Djokovic was the overall favorite at +110, with Alcaraz at +150 and Daniil Medvedev at +400 to win.
Djokovic has continued his strong form since then and can currently be found at +125 to win in the Big Apple, making him the odds-on favorite despite being the No. 2 seed in the tournament. He is coming off an ATP tournament triumph in Cincinnati last week, overcoming Alcaraz in a three-set thriller (5-7, 7-6, 7-6) in the final. It was sweet revenge for Djokovic, who fell just short to the Spaniard in the Wimbledon final just last month.
The reality is that, in men’s tennis, there’s Djokovic and Alcaraz, a large gap and then everyone else right now.
Djokovic will play Alexandre Muller in his U.S. Open opener, while Alcaraz faces Dominik Koepfer. Overall, it appears Djokovic has the easier draw of the top two seeds, as Alcaraz has the likes of Jannik Sinner, Alexander Zverev and Grigor Dimitrov on his side of the bracket. Stefanos Tsitsipas and Felix Auger-Aliassime are on Djokovic’s end of the draw, but neither player is in great form leading into the event.
Behind the two heavy favorites, a slumping Medvedev has seen his odds slide all the way down from +400 to +1000 in the latest update, while Sinner (+1400) has been playing great tennis of late and will be looking to reach his first-ever major final. As we mentioned, however, a daunting potential quarter-final meeting with Alcaraz looms.
