It’s a short week for both the Chicago Bears and Washington Commanders on Thursday Night Football, each looking to lick their collective wounds from close losses. For Washington, this win could very well save its season. Chicago’s is already lost, but the Bears are still trying to end one of the longest losing streaks in recent years. The good news for anyone betting the First Touchdown prop is both defenses have been getting torched.

The Chicago Bears are an unmitigated disaster, but at least Justin Fields is starting to distance himself from the train wreck. It certainly wasn’t Fields’ fault last week as he saw his squad squander a lead to Denver. Fields already has one first touchdown earlier in the season and is poised to take advantage of the Commanders defense.
Fields remains the top rushing option on or around the goal line and can easily break a smaller run in the red zone. The Commanders secondary got torched last week and returns on a short week against Fields. If Chicago has any brains left in the coaching department, they would try to stretch the field right away, even if it results in a interference call.
Expect Chicago to call Fields number to punch that early ticket near the end zone. If not, expect him to take matters into his own hands.

Washington Commanders First Touchdown Prop
Sam Howell is clearly defined as the Commanders QB, lighting up the Eagles defense just this past week. His best friend was Terry McLaurin – dropping an 8-catch, 86-yard day, despite being held out of the end zone. That changes Thursday as this duo stands another great chance of exploding – this time on an even worse defense than last week.
The Commanders are just better coached this year on offense and have looked to involve McLaurin so long as he’s healthy. Chicago is just so bad that this ticket might cash in the opening drive of the game – or at least on the first Washington drive.
