Wimbledon Odds: Djokovic the Heavy Wimbledon Favorite, but Competition is Lurking

Djokovic is the odds on favorite to win Wimbledon, which should come as no surprise. The all-time great has already taken down the French Open earlier this year, and has shown no signs of slowing down. If he does defeat Jannik Sinner to make the final match, Djokovic’s most likely opponent will be Carlos Alcaraz. The duo last met in the semis at Roland Garros with Djokovic winning in four sets. The two traded wins in the first two sets before Djokovic dominated in sets three and four, winning both 6-1.

Friday’s Carlos Alcaraz-Daniil Medvedev matchup has the Spaniard as a -250 favorite. The Wimbledon tennis odds for the tournament’s overall champion has Alcaraz at +250 if he does advance. It’s an early indication that the lines for a Djokovic-Alcaraz rematch will be much closer than the semi-final matches on Friday.

The least likely Wimbledon Champion on the odds board is Jannik Sinner. The Italian is +1200 to win the tournament, just behind Daniil Medvedev (+1100). Sinner is a +370 underdog in his matchup against Novak Djokovic this Friday. If Sinner were to win Wimbledon it would be the 21-year old’s first Grand Slam Championship. Carlos Alcaraz and Daniil Medvedev both have one to their name, while Djokovic is looking for his 24th.
