The Colts are the favorite, and running back Jonathan Taylor has the shortest anytime touchdown scorer odds at only -115 on DraftKings. However, Pinnacle, a sharp book, has Taylor at even. So instead of backing Taylor, I’m going with Michael Pittman Jr. at +200 on WynnBet. You’ll find Pittman priced at just +164 on Pinnacle.
Pittman dominates the Colts’ receiving corps in red-zone targets. He has earned 15 red-zone looks on the season, which is nine more than the next-best option, slot receiver Josh Downs. Pittman’s 15 red-zone targets are good for a 44.1% share of the red-zone work. Although he has only converted one of those for a score, the volume we need is there — he just has to deliver.

If you have Alvin Kamara on your fantasy team, look away. Taysom Hill has been a touchdown vulture the last few weeks, and I don’t see that stopping come Sunday. In the red zone, Hill’s numbers are mind-blowing. Listed as a “tight end,” Hill has 22 carries inside the 20 — 13 of which have come inside the 10. The Saints consistently trust the 220-plus pound swiss-army knife to find the end zone behind their solid offensive line.
Hill will look to make it four weeks in a row finding the end zone, and he now gets a Vikings run defense that has allowed seven rushing touchdowns, including last week, when Tyler Allgeier ran a five-yard touchdown in. Backing Hill just makes the most sense. Last week, he had four carries alone in the red zone and two targets. Nobody else in the league offers his skillset. Even teammate Alvin Kamara had just one carry inside the 20.

The Detroit Lions will get David Montgomery back this week. The star running back was a full participant in practice all week, which suggests he’ll be a full-go for Sunday’s Week 10 game against the Los Angeles Chargers. Although the Chargers have coughed up just five total touchdowns to running backs this season, their defense ranks third-worst in red-zone possessions allowed per game (3.8), and head coach Dan Campbell loves to feature his power back near the goal line.
Campbell’s deference to his goal-line backs in the red zone extends to last season. This year, Montgomery has racked up 25 red-zone rushing attempts, five of which he has turned into scores. Montgomery has also carried the ball eight times inside the five-yard line, and four of those touches produced scores. Last year, Campbell gave power back Jamaal Williams an NFL-high 57 rushing attempts inside the 20-yard line and another 28 inside the five-yard line.
But with Montgomery just returning from injury — and rookie Jahmyr Gibbs looking good in his absence — the oddsmakers are overthinking this one slightly. Montgomery clocks in at odds of -105 at bet365 and several other books to find paydirt. That converts to an implied probability of 51.2%. Montgomery has played in only five games this year and already has six touchdowns with a score in all but the contest in which he suffered his injury. Expect Campbell to get right back to riding with his goal-line backs near the goal line on Sunday.

Giants-Cowboys Anytime Touchdown Bet

If I’m the New York Giants defense, I’m scared. The Dallas Cowboys are coming off a heartbreaking loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. They had the ball inside the red zone with 30 seconds left to win the game and ultimately failed. CeeDee Lamb came to play in that game, though. He reeled in 11 catches for a season-high 191 yards — his third straight game over 100 yards receiving. The yards are fun, but we’re looking for touchdowns this week. He has found the endzone just three times this season, but we’re banking on quarterback Dak Prescott to continue peppering him with targets.
The Giants’ secondary is hurting coming into tomorrow’s NFC East battle. Top corner Adoree’ Jackson will be sidelined after suffering a concussion in last week’s loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. As 17.5-point underdogs, this could get ugly for New York, and I expect the Cowboys’ offense to live on the Giants’ side of the field. In that defeat to the Raiders, they allowed 30 points. That moved them into the bottom 10 in points allowed on the road — where they find themselves on Sunday.
Surprisingly, FanDuel, who offers criminally low anytime touchdown scorer odds, currently leads the market for CeeDee Lamb to score a touchdown at +115. Meanwhile, Caesars and BetMGM are offering Lamb at less than even money. For a lead receiver whose team total is set at 27.5, getting Lamb in the plus money is a no-brainer. He is our top anytime touchdown bet for Week 10’s Giants-Cowboys game.
