Bills -8.5 vs. Jets | NFL Survivor Pool Picks Week 17
The Buffalo Bills are the clear choice for a survivor pick this week. While the Kansas City Chiefs have secured the AFC’s top seed and a bye, the Bills are still fighting for the No. 2 seed over the Baltimore Ravens.
The New York Jets, unsurprisingly, have been a disaster this season. Although they’ve shown flashes of competency recently, it’s hard to envision them posing a real threat to one of the NFL’s top teams.
If you’re still alive in a survivor contest, chances are you’ve already used Buffalo. However, if you haven’t, now is the perfect opportunity. Don’t overthink it –this is likely the last game the Bills go all in for during the regular season.
Colts -7.5 at Giants | NFL Survivor Week 17
As I always say, taking a road team for your survivor pick is never ideal, but the Indianapolis Colts could be a realistic option for many survivors still in the hunt. This is a prime spot to use them.
The Colts have been inconsistent this season, but their volatility pales in comparison to the New York Giants, who have been consistently dreadful.
The G-Men are riding a brutal 10-game losing streak, which is likely to stretch to 11 after Sunday.
It appears Drew Lock will once again start for the Giants. In his three starts this season, Lock has thrown for just 615 yards with a 55% completion rate.
While Anthony Richardson hasn’t been stellar through the air, he brings a dynamic rushing element, ed by better offensive weapons — including Jonathan Taylor — and a reasonably competent defense. If the Colts are one of your remaining options, you should feel pretty confident. It could be a lot worse.
Buccaneers -7.5 vs. Panthers | NFL Survivor Week 17
Our top selection features an NFC South divisional showdown between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Carolina Panthers.
The last time these teams met, it was a thrilling overtime finish. The Buccaneers battled back in the final seconds of regulation, tying the game with a 51-yard field goal as time expired. In overtime, after a crucial fumble recovery, Tampa Bay secured the win with a 30-yard field goal, edging out the Panthers 26-23.
Surely, the Panthers will be seeking revenge after their heartbreaking overtime loss, but the Buccaneers are desperate for a win to bolster their chances of clinching the NFC South.
The Buccaneers are undeniably the more talented team, even with the injuries they’ve faced. This time, they won’t underestimate the Panthers, though, especially with Bryce Young’s resurgence making his team more competitive.
Nevertheless, the Bucs have a whole lot more to play for, they’ll be back at home and even more motivated to win after a tough road loss last week.
