McCaffrey’s rushing prop may sit at an intimidatingly high 91.5, but the numbers suggest there may be value on the over. Since arriving in San Francisco, he has run for 81.7 yards per game across 27 regular-season contests — and 85.2 yards per game across six postseason contests.
Those averages mask more impressive medians of 90 in the postseason and 85 in the regular season. We’ve seen him clear the 91.5 mark in 13 of his 27 regular-season games with San Francisco and two of his postseason games, coming within two yards of another playoff hit.
Further, McCaffrey’s numbers look even more impressive when you filter out games that quarterback Brock Purdy didn’t start. With Purdy as QB1, McCaffrey has averaged 90.4 rushing yards per regular-season game. Purdy started each of McCaffrey’s playoff games for the 49ers, so that filter doesn’t help us there.
