The Cleveland Cavaliers will visit the Utah Jazz tonight, and while the Jazz have functionally called it quits on their season, the Cavaliers are still jockeying for seeding in the Eastern Conference. Further, the Cavs have to play again tomorrow, as they’ll stay out west and visit the Phoenix Suns.
We’re fading Donovan Mitchell in the assist column in anticipation of him seeing fewer minutes than usual. The Jazz give up a ton of assists, but Darius Garland is available to help facilitate, and Mitchell averages exactly 5.5 assists per game when Garland is active.
We’re beating the market with this Mitchell leg as well, as we’re only paying -125 on Caesars, but this same prop would cost you a whopping -147 at Pinnacle, a sharp book. Take advantage of the value before it disappears.
Leg #2: Khris Middleton u17.5 PTS
I talked about this leg at great length in today’s NBA player prop column, but I’ll give you the cliff notes for it here. The Milwaukee Bucks are playing the Washington Wizards tonight and the Memphis Grizzlies tomorrow, so they must be intentional with their workload distribution.
With the Bucks trading as 13-point favorites, Middleton could see his minutes curbed. He has played 27 or more minutes in just six of the 15 double-digit wins for which he has been active. That’s an issue because he averages only 0.67 points per minute without Damian Lillard active.
Again, the +126 at Caesars is a more generous price than what the other books are offering. This bet is trading for -102 at Pinnacle and +110 or worse at almost every other public book.
