Duncan is a “kill or be killed” type of fighter. He has only been to the third round in two out of his 10 fights. Morales is a 37-year-old UFC veteran who has been stopped in each of his last two fights. Duncan should pressure early and often. He is extremely hittable and shows no signs of defense while on the feet looking to land his own bombs. Morales will be the better technical striker, but he also likes to engage in slugfests on the feet. This one will not reach the third round.
Prop of the Week: Jake Hadley by Knockout (+255 BetRivers/Unibet)
Hadley comes into this matchup riding a high. He won his last UFC fight via triangle choke after hurting his opponent to the body on the feet. Hadley has been impressive early in his UFC career. He has shown very good boxing skills with power, along with a very good jiu jitsu game. His opponent, Malcolm Gordon, impressed in a loss his last time out against a huge prospect in Mohammed Mokaev. He did well in scrambles on the ground and succumbed to a submission in the third round.
The problem for Gordon here is that his chin will be tested. Hadley hits very hard, and Gordon is not known to have a very good chin, as evidenced by his four knockout losses. Hadley will pressure and work the body, eventually making Gordon drop his hands before finding his chin.
Best Play of the Week: Christian Leroy Duncan Moneyline (-215, DraftKings)
Duncan is a huge prospect, coming in with a 7-0 MMA record. He will be fighting for the first time in the UFC in his home country of England. Duncan has looked really impressive in his regional fights, beating a good prospect in Will Currie twice, along with the former Cage Warriors champion Djati Melan. Now Duncan steps into the Octagon to face a UFC veteran in Dusko Todorovic, who is currently 3-3 in the UFC, with his three victories being against opponents who are currently no longer on the UFC roster.
Todorovic will look to take this fight to the ground, but he will not have success. Duncan has very good takedown defense, along with a good getup game. Duncan will have a huge edge on the feet, with flashy kicks and the much better technical striking skills. Todorovic is up against it here, and the UFC knows what it is doing in giving the young prospect this specific fighter for his debut. Duncan should easily roll to victory here.
