Mateusz Rebecki enters this fight after winning his UFC debut over Nick Fiore in January of this year. A Dana White Contender Series alum, Rebecki showed off his slick submission skills last August to punch his UFC ticket. Overall, he holds a 17-1 professional record.
On the other side, Radzhabov also won his UFC debut over Esteban Ribovics via unanimous decision this March. Radzhabov is 17-4 as a prospect and previously fought in the PFL. While both fighters lack UFC experience, both come from strong grappling camps and like to push a pace.
Rebecki brings heavy hands and a strong grappling game. The Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) black belt holds six wins via submission and another eight via knockout. Through his two bouts in the UFC, he averages 4.15 takedowns and lands 4.92 significant strikes per minute. Rebecki also appears to have solid wrestling, showing the ability to control his opponents on the ground.
Radzhabov also comes relies heavily on grappling. He landed 11 takedowns in his UFC debut, but that could be harder against an experienced grappler like Rebecki. In the past Radzhabov has occasionally put himself in poor situations. He has also struggled with cardio. Radzhabov does have finishing power with seven knockouts and five submissions to his game.
Ultimately, fighting another experienced grappler could be tough for Radzhabov here. Especially against one willing to push a pace. For that reason, Rebecki should find ways to win rounds and take over as the fight progresses.
