It feels both good and scary to be back in the NRFI streets. It’s been a bloodbath on no run first inning picks over the last month or so.
But I cashed five straight bets to end last week, so I’m running hot, and this soldier is ready to go back into battle.
Giants starter Kyle Harrison has won 71% of his NRFI bets this season and is actually in quite good form. He has won five of his last six no run first inning opportunities, which include a trip to Coors field and an outing against the Braves. So he’s been cooking in of dialing it up in the first inning.
We know the White Sox rank as the league’s worst offense in nearly all offensive categories, and Harrison is getting to face this lowly Chicago team in his home park that suppresses offense. We love that for him.
As for Jonathan Cannon, it’s a bit surprising, but the fella has actually been a no run first inning stud for bettors this season. As shocking as that may seem, a White Sox player has actually made us money.
Cannon is 10-3 on NRFI bets in 2024 and has ripped of four consecutive NRFI wins. Even more impressive is that three of them have come against competent offenses like the Rangers, Royals and Yankees. Not bad, rook. Not bad.
This game features only a 7.5 projected total, and with Oracle Park being one of the best pitcher’s parks in the game, we’re going to take a shot on the NRFI bet today, especially with the -120 value BetMGM is offering.

Yusei Kikuchi starts against the Boston Red Sox tonight, and his strikeout prop has opened at 7.5.
That’s a hefty number of strikeouts to pile up, so my lean — and the OddsShopper tools’ lean — is to the under.
On Unibet, the odds are -132, which is providing us the slightest bit of value, while sharp sportsbooks like Pinnacle have this puppy priced all the way down at -165 already.
So we’re stealing a tiny bit of positive expected value (+EV) on this bet here.
