Kyle Bradish O/U 5.5 Hits Allowed
Kyle Bradish is arguably one of the most underrated arms in all of baseball. The 26-year-old RHP has a 3.03 ERA and is gifted wrap one of the best matchups he can envision today at home against the Colorado Rockies. Fading the Rockies away from Coors Field is what’s important. Since the All-Star break, they rank in the bottom 10 in batting average, on-base percentage, slugging, and wRC+ against RHP on the road. All metrics point to the Rockies struggling against Bradish who has cleared this line in seven of nine home games this season.
The drastic home and away splits for Bradish bode well for us. At home, Bradish has been masterful. He has a 2.18 ERA and allows just .71 hits per inning. Taking a look at his last few games even on the road, Bradish pitched extremely well against a surging Seattle Mariners team. The Mariners rank in the top 10 in most major statistical categories against RHP in August but ed just two runs in six innings against Bradish.
It could very well be a big strikeout game for Bradish who has thrown at least seven K’s in six of his last 10 games, especially against the Rockies who have the highest K rate against RHP in August at 30%. We’re looking at Bradish’s usual workload of 90 pitches and six innings which should line up to be another quality outing and staying under this prop for the 16th time in 24 starts.
