2024 US Open North Carolina Caesars Sportsbook Odds
There has not been a major in North Carolina since the 2017 PGA Championship, which took place at Quail Hollow in Charlotte. Quail Hollow is a regular PGA Tour stop to this day, usually the host of the Wells Fargo Championship. The other regular North Carolina stop is Wyndham Championship venue Sedgefield. Pinehurst is the host this year, and it has not been the US Open course since 2014, which Martin Kaymer won.

With the whole Louisville police incident officially behind him, Scheffler is once again the favorite by a comfortable margin at +400. You wouldn’t know it from his dominance over the last couple of years, but Scheffler has only won one of the four majors — the Masters, which he has won twice — with his best US Open finish being a runner-up in 2022. Like many in this field, Scheffler has never played a major at Pinehurst.
McIlroy has, however, and he was in contention after two rounds in 2014. He fell off the last two days to ultimately place 23rd, but given he has experience most at the top of the odds board do not, he’s a good candidate for an outright at +900.
The rest of the group is, unsurprisingly, filled with guys who contended at the last two majors. Schauffele, of course, won the PGA Championship, and DeChambeau, Hovland and Morikawa were all in the mix on the last day. Morikawa also had a top-5 at the Masters, where Aberg was the runner-up and DeChambeau finished sixth.
Then we get to Koepka and Rahm, both of whom are in a strange batch of form. Koepka finished strong at the PGA but ultimately finished 26th thanks to a poor Round 3. His Masters was mediocre, but he and Rahm at least made the cut that week. Rahm’s PGA Championship, however, was rough, as he failed to see the weekend after missing the cut by one.
Those two have odds that are most helped by reputation, whereas every other top-10 guy is rolling at majors this year. And since Scheffler is lapping the field, there is still some solid value in a bet on a high-end guy at Caesars Sportsbook.
