Dereck Lively II H/L Than 7.5 Points
The Mavericks head back to LA with the series tied 2-2 but there’s some concern with their best player not up to par. Luka Doncic is dealing with knee injury that’s clearly hindering his performance, but that doesn’t mean Dereck Lively is going to pick up that slack. The reality is Kyrie Irving, then 3-4 other guys, will take over the scoring role. The road is typically unkind to role players in the playoffs, which has also been the story for Lively.
In both road games, Lively failed to reach eight points. In turn, he cleared it in each of the last two home games. The matchup against Ivica Zubac remains mostly the same and Lively hasn’t established any dominance on the glass either. This is just a tough number for him to clear under these circumstances, against a tough team up front and on the road.

The Clippers are going to need scoring help from anywhere they can manage, but mainly needing Ivica Zubac to remain hot from the floor. Carrying 15 points might seem like a large number as it’s been an even split so far for Zubac. They aren’t coming definitively at home or on the road, either.
The loss of Leonard bumps up the role players around Paul George, or at least allows a void to be filled. Unlike Lively, the Mavs might actually plan on slowing down Zubac – at least making it harder to shoot 70 percent from the floor. While he’s not going to be the center point of Dallas and their defensive adjustments, Zubac should see a tougher time scoring.
In three regular season games, Zubac was held under this total in each. He’s only cleared this twice despite seeing a missing or banged up Leonard. Don’t expect a heavy dose of shots either coming from the Clippers big man.
