The NBA playoffs roll on with another loaded slate this Saturday, with the action getting underway at noon and continuing well after primetime is over. Yesterday’s NBA props article cashed a Patrick Beverley over and an Anthony Edwards under for a 2-0 sweep, so let’s keep the winning tickets coming today. I’ve found two spots worth getting a unit on with the help of NBA betting model for more picks!
NBA Player Props Today: Picks for Kristaps Porzingis & More
Kristaps Porzingis Player Prop
The Boston Celtics got wrecked by the Miami Heat in Game 2, and, if we’re pointing fingers, it’s hard not to point them at Kristaps Porzingis. The veteran big man shot a disastrous 11/0/100 on his way to just six points. He was a -32 for the game. But despite the poor performance, Porzingis has been getting quality looks all series, and I suspect he’ll get right tonight.
Porzingis took 13 field goals in Game 1, and only three were contested. He converted 50% of his uncontested looks and 66.7% of his contested ones. In Game 2, he attempted just nine field goals, and only six were uncontested. He couldn’t make an open shot, and his lone field goal, a tip dunk, was contested. While his Game 1 showing was impressive, the truth is probably somewhere between those contests.
We can buy Porzingis’ points over at 16.5 for +102 at FanDuel, which is too good of a deal to up. Porzingis scored 18 in Game 1 and averaged 20.3 points per game versus the Heat in this year’s regular season. His regular-season shooting splits of 57/50/82 versus the Heat reveal that Miami is more comfortable leaving him open than Jayson Tatum or Jaylen Brown, so I’m more comfortable buying his over for a big Game 3 than theirs.

Jonas Valanciunas Player Prop
The Oklahoma City Thunder got a scare in Game 1, but they rallied to blow out the New Orleans Pelicans in Game 2. Center New Orleans Jonas Valanciunas, who must play a bigger role with Zion Williamson sidelined, stepped up to nab 20 rebounds in Game 1 but was held to just seven in Game 2. With the Thunder now playing with the physicality required for the playoffs, both myself and our positive expected value (+EV):
Valanciunas will cost you only -125 at Caesars to tally under 11.5 boards. He averaged just 10.4 per game in 12 regular-season appearances without Williamson, but our tools don’t look at stats to originate picks.
So how do our NBA betting tools work? That’s simple: they index the odds from across the market; adjust for book sharpness, hold and more; and generate a wager’s true odds (a breakeven price).
When we can buy a bet for odds longer than that breakeven number, we know we’re getting +EV, which means we should add it to our cards. Our tools identify hundreds of these bets each day.
Bets like this one, over a large enough sample, can help you transform your bankroll just as the results to prove you’ll turn a profit over the long run.
