Now, that may suggest the odds are unlikely to change barring a barrage of bets on the under, but just to be safe, it’s always smart to snag value while it’s there.
At just a little above plus money, a 54% win expectancy is phenomenal and leads to -117 True Odds according to OddsShopper. That makes this play +EV by over 5%. Now, there are other positive spots — anything shorter than -117 is going to be +EV — but BetMGM is the only spot better than -110.
Now to the sports side of this bet. Edwards is capturing all of our imaginations. We all love the dunks, the swagger, the ineffable dawg in him. And honestly, the rebounds have been killer lately — seven-plus in five straight. For the season, however, playing alongside Rudy Gobert (and Karl-Anthony Towns, who is out) has restricted Edwards to 5.4 per game.
The Cavaliers are a decent, if unspectacular, rebounding team (13th on the season), and they are also a pace down for Minnesota. As such, the environment is middling for Edwards on the boards, and the BetMGM valuable is too good to up.
