Marte is hitting lefties at a .292 average including seven extra-base hits. Meanwhile, Freeland has allowed 16 hits in his last two starts. Nestor Cortes has been betters than his numbers say. His 3.69 xERA isn’t terrible and he’s had to face some tough competition as of late. He failed to reach six strikeouts against the Orioles and Rays in two of his last three starts; two teams that rank in the bottom top 10 in K rate to LHP. Now, he gets the pleasure of facing off against the K prone Seattle Mariners. The Mariners are striking out at the fourth most rate to LHP this season and 25% in May. Look for Cortes to eat up some innings for the Yankees who haven’t had a day off in a week.

Yusei Kikuchi More/Less 5.5 Strikeouts
Action on both sides of the Brewers-Blue Jays game. Yusei Kikuchi has been much better at home and that’s exactly where he’ll be tonight. The Brewers and their league-leading K rate to LHP in May are a great matchup for Kikuchi to deal tonight.
