Nobody expected the Seattle Kraken to make the playoffs in their first season in the league, but they got there. Still, nobody thought they could defeat the Colorado Avalanche in the first round… and of course they did. And now the Kraken have a 2-1 lead over the Dallas Stars in their second round series. Game 4 is in Seattle, but the Stars-Kraken NHL prop bets are pointing out value on Dallas players like Roope Hintz and Evgenii Dadonov.
Best Stars-Kraken Player Props: Grab the Value on Roope Hintz, Evgenii Dadonov
Roope Hintz has recorded four or more shots in his last four games. That number might have been even higher if the Stars-Kraken Game 3 was closer than the 7-2 final score in favor of Seattle. Hintz’s ice time went down by a couple of minutes in that last game, but you can expect it to return back to around 18+ minutes and for him to have plenty of opportunities to fire shots on goal.
The Over 2.5 shots on goal for Hintz is at -118 at BetRivers, which is simply too low. OddsShopper has a 57% expected win percentage on this bet. At -118 that has a 6% theoretical ROI. The over for Roope Hintz is hardly a lock, but there’s enough value and win probability to warrant a bet size at 4.65% of your bank roll.
Unfortunately for the oddsmakers they’re also leaving value on the table with Evgenii Dadonov’s “Any Goal Scorer” prop bet. The third line wing is getting plenty of ice time with the even strength line and additional time on their second power play unit. FanDuel is pricing his chances to score a goal at +500. Dadonov’s estimated 18% chance to score a goal is giving that NHL prop an 8% edge. It’s the highest ROI spot in the Stars-Kraken game, but given that you’ll connect on this less than one time out of five, you should reduce your bet sizing to mitigate the risk to your bank roll. Staking just north of 1% of your bank roll is the right call.
