Jackson will not play Sunday, making it six games missed since he injured his knee in Week 13 against the Denver Broncos. Tyler Huntley is likely to start for Baltimore at Cincinnati.
“Thank you everyone for your and concerns regarding my injuries,” Jackson wrote on Twitter on Thursday. “I want to give you all an update as I am in the recovery process.
“I’ve suffered a PCL grade 2 sprain on the borderline of a strain 3. There is still inflammation surrounding my knee and my knee remains unstable. I’m still in good spirits, as I continue with treatments on the road to recovery.
“I wish I could be out there with my guys more than anything but I can’t give a 100% of myself to my guys and fans. I’m still hopeful we still have a chance.”

The Ravens are after opening at +5.5. According to ESPN, Baltimore is 3-14 outright as an underdog of at least 7 points under coach John Harbaugh (since 2008). The Ravens are 8-8-1 against the spread in those games.
Huntley, who has tendonitis in his right throwing shoulder, did not play the regular-season finale against Cincinnati, a 27-16 loss last week with Anthony Brown at quarterback. Huntley reportedly was able to throw lightly for the first time this week at practice Thursday.
“He looked good,” Ravens offensive coordinator Greg Roman said. “It’s day to day. He’s making progress. We take stock on it every day.”

Huntley won two of four starts in place of Jackson. The Ravens were 8-4 after defeating the Broncos and finished 10-7, second to the Bengals in the AFC North to get the No. 6 seed as an AFC Wild Card. Baltimore averaged 12.5 points per game in the past five, the second fewest in the NFL during that span.
“There were so many people involved who thought if Lamar is not going to play in the regular season, he will surely be ready in the playoffs,” Ian Rapoport said on NFL Network’s “Good Morning Football” on Wednesday.
