We can’t buy a damn NBA parlay win right now. But, like the good ol’ days of 76ers basketball, we’re trusting the process with our NBA parlay picks today. WE WILL NOT BE DETERRED! … We might be a little poorer, but we’re not deterred! Joel Embiid o10.5 Rebounds (NBA Player Prop)
Whenever we’re struggling, we always go back to “our guys.” And, Joel Embiid is definitely one of our guys.
I’m firing up the over 10.5 rebounds for Embiid tonight, but you can take 10+ as well if you want to be a little safer. I don’t mind that at all.
The 76ers star has grabbed 11 or more rebounds in seven straight games. He’s an absolute machine on the boards. Well, he’s a machine in all aspects of the games, but he’s been grabbing rebounds like crazy.
Detroit is a terrible first-quarter team, and Embiid generally plays 10-12 minutes in the first quarter. So, while this game is probably as close as it’s going to get, he’s going to be in there doing work.
As we know, Detroit is going to be without bigs Jalen Duren and Marvin Bagley, so that leaves Isaiah Stewart and James Wiseman to try to stop Embiid on the glass.
After all, Embiid just went for 16 boards in their previous meeting, that was WITH Duren and Bagley.
76ers -4.5 vs Pistons (NBA Pick)
Tonight, Philly travels to Detroit to take on the pitiful Pistons (yay, alliteration), who have lost something like 391 games in a row. OK, it’s not THAT many, but it legitimately feels like it.
Obviously, we think the 76ers should win, and do so somewhat comfortably. This spread is pretty large, so with a nice 50% boost for our NBA parlay today, I think we can slide it down a little.
Let’s take the 76ers on the alternate spread line of -4.5 for Leg 2 of the parlay.
Brook Lopez u6.5 Rebounds (NBA Player Prop)
If we know one thing about Brook Lopez, it’s that he isn’t going to get down and dirty for a lot of rebounds. It’s just not in his DNA.
It’s somewhat curious why his rebounding prop is at 6.5 today, but, I’ll take the bait on it, and slam the under.
This is one of the best bets right now, according to the OddsShopper Prop Tool, which has this listed with an OS Rating of 9 (a VERY nice number) and an expected win rate of 60%. I mean, when the tool is saying jam it in, we’re jamming it in.
And for you game log watchers out there, Lopez has gone over the 6.5 rebound mark ONCE in his last eight games. There, I gave you a statistic.
Knicks -4.5 vs Jazz (NBA Pick)
This line has moved A LOT already. It opened at 5 or 5.5 last night, and it’s already up to 6 or 6.5 depending on where you look.
We could’ve hit the moneyline on this, but I wanted to get us some juicier odds on our parlay today. So, instead, we’re going to take the Knicks to cover 4.5 tonight against the Utah Jazz.
The Jazz are going to be without Jordan Clarkson, who is arguably their best scorer, and Lauri Markkanen, John Collins and Walker Kessler are all questionable heading into tonight’s game.
Markkanen hasn’t played since Nov. 22, and if he can’t go again tonight, this line might grow even more. I just don’t know where the Jazz are going to get points from, or who will be guarding Julius Randle or Jalen Brunson.
This feels like a spot where the Knicks dog-walk the Jazz, and we want to get in on it. Knicks -4.5 on the alternate spread.
