Meanwhile there’s no surprise ending this year in Portland, the Trail Blazers are a disaster. Portland doesn’t score much – 30th in the NBA in points per game – and are slipping towards the bottom tier in defensive points allowed. Going up against this Thunder squad is tough enough, especially with their ability to cause and score off turnovers, but the Blazers stand no chance. Not in OKC.
The Thunder are favored by 14 points in what should be a rout. This is exactly the type of game that doesn’t require starters in the fourth quarter, providing some much needed rest. Even if the Blazers find a way to hang around, it’s due to the Thunder slowing things down with a lead. Bench players can provide a spark as it might be a lone chance this week to get some buckets, but not up by 20+ with 10 minutes to go. The Thunder keep this one under the total.
